Partners Relief and Development is a multinational non-profit organization that works in the United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Norway, the United Kingdom and Thailand. Started in 1995, they have made their mission bringing free and full lives for the children of Burma. Through holistic action, they demonstrate God’s love to children and communities made vulnerable by war in Burma.
Partners has 4 primary ways to bring hope and reconcile communities:
- Emergency Relief- They provide relief from war in the form of food, clothing, rubber boots, water, medicine, shelter, and vital survival supplies.
- Sustainable Development- They work to provide long-term solutions to war and poverty – by building health clinics, providing health care training, supplementing war zone education systems and hosting agricultural training.
- Care for Children of Conflict- They aim to help internally displaced, refugee and orphaned children by providing nutrition, medical, educational and spiritual care.
- Advocacy- They are passionate about helping the people of Burma. They educate, publish and develop partnerships while striving to empower leaders and communities to do the same.
Our Partnership
Partners Relief and Development has been a vital Lovemine partner for multiple reasons. As a presence since our inception, they have provided real world insight, on the ground information, strikingly powerful media, and a variety of resources which we can work to connect people to. From the October 2009 collaboration on the “Ignite Project”, to the trips we make to the Thai-Burma border to learn, serve and connect, Partners has been a valuable partner in supporting our growing infrastructure and mission.
